“Find Spirituality”

"According to this week’s Scripture lessons, God said to King David, ‘I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel.’ We can see his extremely rapid change in status, from shepherd of his family’s sheep to shepherd of the entire nation of Israel. God called and anointed David when he was just a teenager. How do you think this was possible for God? What qualities did God see in King David that made him fit to shepherd all of Israel? What kinds of personal qualities is God looking for in each individual? Pastor Dave will help us find the spirituality we need as followers of Jesus. The same transformation still occurs in our lives. Please, join us for this Sunday’s worship service at 10 am  or on our Woodridge UMC YouTube Channel. We look forward to seeing you all."

Fill Backpacks for Woodridge Students!

Once again, this year we will be partnering with Prince of Peace, St. Scholastica and Christ the Servant to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to Woodridge students in need.  There are several different ways you can support our efforts this year.
1. Donate backpacks or supplies - a bin is available in the Narthex to drop off supplies.
While all items are appreciated, we are most in need of the following:
Wide rule loose leaf paper                         Broad tip markers
Wide rule spiral notebooks                        Narrow tip markers
2 pocket folders with prongs                      Colored pencils
Scissors - pointed tip only                          Crayons (24 count)
            Highlighters                                                Rulers
Supplies will be collected through Sunday July 27!

  1. Volunteer your time!

            Saturday August 3 @ 9:00 am
            - help fill backpacks at St. Scholastica 7800 Janes Ave.
            Sunday August 11 @ 12:00 pm
            - help set up and distribute backpacks at Echo Point Park 8115 Woodridge Dr.

A signup sheet will be available next to our collection bin and we will be happy to answer any questions.
