Immigration Rights
for Allies
St. Andrew United Methodist Church (250 N. Gary Ave. Carol
Stream, IL 60188) is pleased to host a special presentation
on Immigrant Rights for Allies, led by the Southwest Suburban
Immigrant Project (SSIP) on Sunday, July
27th at 11:30 am. This will be a meaningful
opportunity to learn more about current immigration-related
issues and gain practical tools and strategies for standing
in solidarity with immigrant communities. SSIP will share
valuable insights and ways we can participate in their
ongoing services and programs. A light lunch will be provided
before the presentation, so we invite you to join us for
fellowship both before and after the event. A freewill
offering will be gratefully accepted to support the work of
SSIP. All are welcome—come, learn, and stand together for
justice. You can reply at their Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/share/18FebtxCxv/

July Outreach Offering - Filipino Churches
As a committee, Outreach has looked for opportunities to be
of service on many levels – from local to global. This
month we have identified an international outreach with a
local connection. Our July Outreach will be used to
support the nine home churches of our Filipino WUMC
members. We have learned that several of their
churches did have damage from storms, including the 6
consecutive tropical cyclones that hit in October and
November of last year. The pastor’s home at one needs
repair due to termites. Other needs churches have
include fundraising for a van to do outreach and supplies for
Sunday school. Given that we are supporting multiple
congregations, our goal is to give $200 to each church.
We will be using $400 from the Burke Estate Funds to kick off
these efforts.
Ways
to donate to the July Outreach Offering:
- Check or cash in an Outreach
Offering envelope placed in the offering plate in the
- Narthex (the room outside the
sanctuary) or in the gold-plated mail slot at the
church’s east door.
- Online via our website. Select
“Current Month Outreach” in the drop down menu.
- Text the amount you want to give to
630-449-7121 and select “Current Month Outreach” in the
drop down menu.

this receptacle is a convenient place to recycle any shoes
and your clothes that are at or near the end of their
usefulness.

for donations. It sits in the narthex, usually near the
sanctuary doors. The food pantry serves many
households and always welcomes donations!!!
